AfterMath - A LoD Modification for Diablo v1.10 Final

Merchant Information and Quest Rewards

This section of the AfterMath overview deals with 2 aspects of the game: merchant costs and specific quest rewards. Merchant costs are lowered as you finish off quests in each act. Spiritstones are given as character rewards that can be transmuted with your class specific charm adding to it, a pool of Spiritual Aptitude Points are added to your charm that can then be transformed into various item modificiations.

Tonight on Harrogath's Most Trusted News Source, merchant fees are going way up. Lets go to Trevor live in Harrogath (Yes I'm sleep deprived). Good evening everyone. Welcome to the base of Mt Arreat. It would seem peaceful here on this snowy day in Harrogath but under this blanket of snow is a plethora of grumbling and protests. The protests began with the introduction of new armors and weapons that came with flexibility to be tailor made for any occassion. Couple this with the new gambling regulations, and many have accumulated a significant amount of gold and power. This has Empire's Mechants demanding a piece of the financial boom that our warriors are enjoying. I have with us Malah, a feasity merchant who is not afraid to punt you from her store.

'Hi Malah!'

'Hi Trevor'

'So Malah, what's your take on all this?'

'Look at this city Trevor! It's buried in gold and I think the merchants of this Empire need a little more gold for their services. Come on, we charge next to nothing for healing all manner of sickness yet we get little from the people we heal. It's time the Merchants take a stand and get some gold for us so we can live in something more than squalor!'

Special Quest Rewards

The following quests reward the victorious character with Spiritual Aptitude Points that can then be transformed into powerful item modifications for your character. The Spiritstone must be cubed with your class charm and the quests cannot be done in any order other than the order they were intended to be completed.

Save Cain from the Demons in Tristram: The reward is 1 Spiritstone which Anya will give you.

Save the Dockside by Retrieving the Gibin: The reward is 1 Spiritstone which Ormus will give you.

Destroy the Hell Forge: The reward is 1 Spiritstone from the Hell Forge itself.

Save Barbarians whom are now trapped behind the Red Portals where Andariel, Duriel and Mephisto have been banished because some powerful hero defeated them earlier: Reward is 2 Spiritstones from Qhal-Kehk.

In all three difficulties, Spiritstones will be the reward for completing these quests.
